# Check-Host > Free multilingual website availability checker. It checks a host from about 45 proxy nodes in different countries: HTTP/HTTPS request, ping (TCP connect), TCP port, UDP port, DNS and server info. Results show status, response time and city on a world map. The site is available in Russian, English, Spanish and German. ## Languages - [Русский](https://checkhost.dev/) - [English](https://checkhost.dev/en/) - [Español](https://checkhost.dev/es/) - [Deutsch](https://checkhost.dev/de/) ## What it does - Check types: - `http` — HTTP/HTTPS GET through a node proxy, result is the status code and response time; - `ping` — TCP connect to port 80/443 through a node proxy (ICMP does not pass through HTTP proxies); - `tcp` — TCP connect to any port from 1 to 65535 through a node proxy; - `udp` — UDP request sent from the service server (the proxy pool does not carry UDP); - `dns` — DNS-over-HTTPS through a node proxy: which address a resolver in that country returns; - `info` — HTTP response headers from node proxies (status code and `Server`). - Runs one check per country through a proxy pool and shows the real exit country of each node. - Reports per node: status, HTTP status code, response time in milliseconds and city. Node IP addresses are not exposed. - Draws the result on a world map (green = reachable, orange = error response, red = no response). - Gives every check a shareable link of the form `/{type}?host=...`, e.g. `/http?host=example.com` or `/en/tcp?host=example.com&port=443`. Finished results are also available by id at `/?id=...`. - Keeps results in memory for 2 hours, then deletes them. - Requires no registration. ## API Full documentation: https://checkhost.dev/about/api `POST /api/check` with JSON `{"url": "example.com", "type": "http"}` returns `{"id": "...", "type": "...", "results": [...]}`. `port` (1–65535) is required when `type` is `tcp` or `udp`. Send an `X-API-Key` header to use the API limit. `GET /api/check/{id}` returns the current state: - `done` — whether the check has finished; - `type`, `port` — what was checked; - `total` — number of nodes; - `results[]` — one object per node with `cc`, `country`, `city`, `lat`, `lon`, `status` (`pending` / `ok` / `warn` / `fail`), `code`, `ms`, `detail`, `error_code`. `GET /api/nodes` returns the list of check nodes (country code and name, city, coordinates; no IP addresses). `GET /api/uptime` returns the latest hourly availability sweep of the top-100 popular sites in Russia, the USA and Europe. A site is marked unavailable when more than 50% of the nodes cannot connect to it. Each site has a `category` (the industry taxonomy, e.g. `bank`, `media`, `market`); the response also includes a `categories` summary. Add `?history=1` to include up to 48 hourly points per site. The public status page with charts is at https://monitorly.dev/status. ## Service catalog https://monitorly.dev/services is a searchable catalog of 2259 Russian websites and companies grouped by industry, each with its logo. The same data is available as JSON at https://monitorly.dev/services.json: `categories[]` (slug, label, count) and `services[]` (name, label, slug, icon, category). Logos are served from https://monitorly.dev/icons/. Errors are JSON objects with a human-readable `error` and a machine-readable `code` such as `rate_limit`, `bad_url`, `bad_port_range`, `busy` or `not_found`. ## Limits - Website: up to 10 checks per hour from one IP address. - API: up to 5 checks per hour per `X-API-Key`. - Up to 4 checks running at the same time. - The nodes are data-centre proxies, not real user connections, so some sites may block them. Results are indicative. ## Notes - Independent project, not affiliated with check-host.net. - Source and deployment notes: https://checkhost.dev/ (the service is self-hosted; see the About section of each language page).
